Goal 2:  All educators, administrators, and technical support staff members will benefit from technology-rich professional development opportunities.  Learners will, in turn, benefit from the increased educational and technical support offered by the District.  

 

Strategies:

• Work with administrators to reserve opportunities during each school’s Professional Learning Community (PLC) to provide technology-related professional development. Staff development on various pieces of technology-maintenance, use and implementation will be ongoing with .

• Require educators, administrators, and technical staff members to undergo a mandatory acceptable use and internet safety training at the start of each school year. 

• Collaborate with Special Education Department and outside resources, such as Kurzweil, to provide meaningful professional development opportunities for educators, administrators, and technical support staff in relation to assistive technology. 

• Establish an online database of technology-related lessons and tools.
