Assessment and Strategies

Through the District’s use of survey (Appendix A), documentation of issues experienced, and other forms of feedback from both teachers and students, the District will derive a current strengths and weaknesses analysis.  Based on our Districts current 2014 analysis (Appendix B), we have determined the following priorities and needs will be addressed throughout 2014-2017.

  • Expanded technology capacity for students, teachers and leaders through increased Internet, WAN and LAN bandwidth, provide high density high availability of wireless / WIFI access, increased devices and technical resources, and increased access and use of communication tools.

  • Expanded opportunities for technology-related professional development for teachers and technical staff.  Professional development opportunities shall include, but are not limited to the following: classroom technology integrations, project-based learning, assistive technology, computer-based testing, network management, internet safety, and acceptable use.

  • Encourage educators and administrators to use data to drive instruction. Empower them with the tools and training necessary to do so.

  • Provide expanded access to files, materials and digital educational resources through both hosted and on premise data storage and sharing services.
