Assessment and Strategies
Through the District’s use of survey (Appendix A), documentation of issues experienced, and other forms of feedback from both teachers and students, the District will derive a current strengths and weaknesses analysis. Based on our Districts current 2014 analysis (Appendix B), we have determined the following priorities and needs will be addressed throughout 2014-2017.

Expanded technology capacity for students, teachers and leaders through increased Internet, WAN and LAN bandwidth, provide high density high availability of wireless / WIFI access, increased devices and technical resources, and increased access and use of communication tools.

Expanded opportunities for technology-related professional development for teachers and technical staff. Professional development opportunities shall include, but are not limited to the following: classroom technology integrations, project-based learning, assistive technology, computer-based testing, network management, internet safety, and acceptable use.

Encourage educators and administrators to use data to drive instruction. Empower them with the tools and training necessary to do so.

Provide expanded access to files, materials and digital educational resources through both hosted and on premise data storage and sharing services.
